One of the worst experiences ever. Last year a dentist there performed 2 extractions in the office. He had a difficult time getting them out and ripped my gums apart. Told me afterward that he took out some of my jaw bone with my teeth. I then proceeded to get dry socket and was in some of the worst pain in my life and nearly suicidal with pain. This office did not know how to treat dry socket ( fairly common and known to be extremely painful). After 2 or 3 emergency visits, they referred me to WVU student dental. WVU packed it with a clove paste, fixed, thats it. How did Grafton not know about dry socket and common treatments? Now, if you read this far, here is the worst part. The dentist left the roots in both extraction sites. (which probably contributed to the dry socket). This office did not tell me. I found out a year later from WVU and just had them extracted again. Meaning they had to cut me completely open to get to the root because it healed. Now, mistakes happen but choosing not to inform me that they left the root in is pure negligence ( remember 2 or 3 emergency visits!) They got their money though. And I had to pay twice now. Disclaimer: I liked Dr. Garcia, but hard to respect someone who hires such incompetent people. Sad, I was excited to have a modern dental office in Grafton. Stay away!

I started going to this dentist office 2 years ago, bcuz I needed major work done to my teeth. They've been very helpful, informative and thorough throughout my entire care plan. They explained their suggested care plan to me, and asked me my options. My medical insurance only pays for so much dental work in one year, and I pay the rest out of pocket. Since Medicaid caps the amount they're willing to pay for each procedure, the office personnel tried to help me get the same price, when I had to pay out of pocket. Dr. Christa Garcia even worked on a couple of little problem spots for free! They kept track of how many benefits I had left, after each visit. When Medicaid declined to pay for bottom partial dentures, they kept resubmitting the pre-authorization with slight changes, until Medicaid approved it. Everyone that works there that I've met seems very nice and pleasant. Dr. Garcia is an excellent dentist. She has bedside manners, very smart, down to Earth, gentle and sweet. 💙 There's a new dentist on board now. I can't remember her name right off hand but she is wonderful too. I transferred my children to her office too. After having the same dentist for their entire life. The office, in back and in front, are always very clean. And so are the restrooms. I don't have one complaint about the Grafton Family Dentistry or it's employees!
